Both Liam Payne and Zayn Malik have been on the move, creating new music, teasing content from their up-coming albums, and delighting fans with public appearances and social media content. With such activity from both of these favourites, it’s no surprise that fans are melting down with excitement.

Therefore, we are double-excited to make a Ziam playlist for this month. Below, you will find a mixture of songs either sang by Liam or Zayn, covers of their songs, or songs which have been written by them for other artists. Relax back with a cuppa and listen to the musical genius that is Ziam.

  1. Teardrops by Liam Payne. After a 3 year break, Liam teasing his new music on social media in February 2024. He hinted that his new music is very personal and caused a lot of emotional outpouring during the writing and recording processes. He released Teardrops at the beginning of March 2024, however the release date of the album is yet to be confirmed.
  2. What I Am by Zayn Malik. After keeping pretty much to himself for years, Zayn has decided to come back to the music scene with an album he says shows who he really is as a person and artist. The song will be the first single from his new album, Room Under The Stairs, which is set to be released in May.
  3. Summer Love by One Direction. From the Take Me Home album, this song has a country feel, which is different from the other songs One Direction had done by this point. Zayn told MTV that this song was his favourite for that exact reason, while Liam spoke to Billboard Magazine about One Direction being allowed to write on this song, often breaking into groups of two or three to pen ideas.
  4. All Night by S-X. This song was written by Liam for S-X’s debut album SX1. It’s got a retro R&B feel to it and the song as a whole really screams with Liam’s influence.
  5. Let Me by Matt Johnson. This acoustic version of Zayn’s 2018 hit keeps true to Zayn’s amazing soulful notes while adding a more indie feel to the song.
  6. The Night We Met – Home Town (written by Liam for Irish boybad Home Town) Sadly this song isn’t available on Spotify, but here is the Youtube link to the song. Both the song and the music video are very much ‘One Direction’ in terms of vibe and Liam’s musical influence is very clear.
  7. Fools Gold by One Direction.  This song, from the 2014 album Four, was written by all of the boys as well as their usual song writing team. The song tells of a lover that, while perfect on the surface, isn’t what they seem to be.
  8. Strip That Down -by Liam Payne. This song was released by 2017 for Liam’s debut album and was written by Liam and Ed Sheeran, who had written with him and the other One Direction boys on hits, such as 18 and Little Things.
  9. Pillowtalk by Zayn. The second single from his debut album, Pillowtalk was written by Zayn in 2016. The song was a dramatic change from his usual pop ballads sung in One Direction, instead leaning towards electronic inspired R&B.
  10. Fool For You by Piano Dreamers. This is a piano-only cover of Zayn’s song and yet it still packs a musical punch. Zayn’s writing abilities are such that even without the lyrics, this song makes the listener lose themselves in the haunting softness of the song.
