It’s February, which means it’s the month when Harry Styles turns 29 years old! In order to celebrate, this month’s playlist will focus on Harry’s five biggest hits (according to sales figures).
- Watermelon Sugar
Released in 2019, this song sold 1.8 million and had 212 million streams in the UK. It peaked at number 4 in the charts, thanks to the (slightly naughty) lyrics and catchy beat.
- Sign Of The Times
This song was Harry’s debut single and reached number 1 in the UK charts. It was released in 2017 and racked up a staggering 1.33 million sales and 136 million streams. It’s a very smooth classic rock-pop song with lyrics to inspire.
- Adore You
This song is as well known for its fantasy music video, where Harry lives in Eroda and befriends a fish, as well as the music itself. It was released in 2019 and sold 1.32 million copies. Although it was Harry’s third most successful hit in the UK, the song is his second most streamed hit, running up an impressive 151 million streams.
This breakup/heartbreak ballad is one of the first songs to really showcase Harry’s fantastic vocal range. It was released in 2019 and reached number 15 in the UK charts. It grossed 1.1 million in sales and 125 million in streams – not too shabby for a song that didn’t reach the top 10!
- Lights Up
Released in 2019, this song sold 670,000 copies and was streamed 76 million times in the UK. This song marked the transition from rock-pop to synth-pop, as Harry begins to explore different musical genres, taking the lyrics of the song to heart and doing things on his own terms.
Let’s not forget the runners-up below, who didn’t make the top 5, but are still firmly fixed within Harry’s top ten best-selling singles in the UK!
- Sweet Creature
- As It Was
- Two Ghosts
Well done Harry! Did your favourite Harry song make the list?
